Eco-cathedral
“Nature is a totally efficient, self-regenerating system.” – Bucky Fuller
An eco-cathedral is a place where people, plants and animals work together endlessly. The area (a public park or private property) is shaped from ‘free energy’ – without the aid of machines and from recycled materials. Stones, glass and wood are stacked loose, not bricked, so that animals and plants can use the spaces in between to grow and make nests. The build is without a plan. Over time, the manmade shapes get embraced by a rich natural habitat of plants, trees and wildlife which create glorious and strong structures. The Time Foundation (Stichting de Tijd) was established to guarantee the development of the eco-cathedral for generations to come.
